We know that poor dietary habits can often lead to excess weight, but could it be that food eaten in the wrong quantities or at the wrong intervals can also negatively impact the body from achieving optimal health?
What compounds in food are responsible for optimal metabolic functioning? Is there a diet and a way to eat healthy food that can reduce our risk of illness AND improve our overall health and wellness?
Eating for Nourishment
In the second seminar of our 4-part Lifestyle Seminar Series, Margarete Carneiro, Registered Dietician at the LLU Diabetes Treatment Center, will be speaking on “Eating for Nourishment”. During this presentation, you will learn what foods are the best to nourish the body to reduce your risk of a chronic illness. Specifically, you will learn how what you eat, how much you eat, and when you eat can affect your nutrition and consequently your risk of dying of those conditions.
The seminar is scheduled for Sunday, February 11 at 4 pm at The Living Root Cellar. There will be vegan food samples, juice samples and recipes. Seating is limited and space will fill up quickly.
